Loose livestock results in accidents

This Is what happens in this town

According to deputy Josh Brinson, shortly before 8:30 p.m., Brent A. Shelton, 42, of Liberty, was eastbound out of Rushville and traveling 55 mph when the 2000 Ford he was driving struck a cow standing in his path of travel. The force of the impact caused the animal to be thrown across the highway and into the north side ditch, killing the animal instantly. Shelton was able to remain in the eastbound lane and traveled roughly 230 feet before he could get stopped.
